Gas company belonging to Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation (Petrolimex) is a state company established by Decision No. 1653 – 1988/QD/BTM if December 25th 1998 by the Ministry of Trade, having business capital of over 200 Vietnamese billion dongs. Its function is to import and export liquefied gas (LPG), tank equipment, LPG related technological chains. It is capable of sufficiently serving the consumption of the society.

The Company headquarter is located at 775 Giai Phong Road Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi City while branches are in Hai Phong, Da Nang Ho Chi Minh and Can Tho cities. Petrolimex Gas distribution network comprises more than 40 Petrolimex oil companies together with general agents and retail agents all over 64 provinces and cities of the country Petrolimex Gas products have been present in markets since 1994 and penetrated in production as well as consumption sectors nation wide. The Company has continually improved and developed its technical production and service to better serve demand of social production and consumption.

Petrolimex Gas chian of terminals and inland tankstores of 4000 tonnes are situated in Hanoi (120 tonnes), Hai Phong (1000 tonnes), Da Nang (500 tonnes), Ho Chi Minh (2000 tonnes) and Can Tho (500 tonnes). In 2005, tank storage and bottling capacity is expected to double the present figures.
